Frustration.....

Billy finally got him a new little car this weekend to drive back and forth to work. He still has his F-150 but it drinks gas like you wouldn't believe. Since he drives almost 100 miles a day he needed something that gets good gas mileage.

So far he likes it and it better remain that way. This car caused more heart ache and frustration than my 3 yrs of graduate school at Jackson State.

I wont get into the whole ordeal bc I'm sure you don't have all day. We found the car Wednesday night and went back Thursday to make our final offer and sign papers. We ended up leaving Thursday night with the papers UNSIGNED and irate. The finance man THOUGHT we were some young stupid kids and added the extended warranty in with the price of the car and extended the payments 6 months. When we questioned it he told us that since the economy was so bad that the bank we were financing through was GIVING us the extended warranty for FREE bc they knew if the car broke we would fix the car instead of paying the note that month. B*&^LS%!T nothing is FREE!!!! Anyway we kept questioning him and finally billy said.....I'm not doing this.....something isn't right, so we got up and left.

The Salesman called Billy Friday evening with a great price that we really wanted but we couldn't get past what had happened the night before. So we looked a couple of other places and drove a few more cars but none of them compared to the 1st one we found. So we sucked it up and called the salesman back Saturday morning and asked if the offer still stood. Of course it did so we went back up there. The only finance man that was there was the one that we dealt with
Thursday so the general manager ended up doing the paper work. We were VERY surprised to learn that the manager knocked another $1500 off the price of the car and lowered our interest rate bc of the trouble we had.

Another thing that man lied about was our interest rate....he told us it was a point lower than it actually was.....how does he sleep at night????

I will have to say that all of the frustration was well worth it. I LOVE this car! It drives so good. I drove Natalie's CRV Thursday and I seriously want to trade my trailblazer in for one.

Glad it all worked out. I hate car dealerships. JR is a know it all when it comes to cars so that is very helpful. Keep in touch with that general manager, they can be so helpful when buying a car. JR just got a new to us SUV from a dealership but he only deals with the manager, it's awesome.
