Happy Baby......

Friday morning before school. Is it wishful thinking or does she kinda look like me in this one????
All dressed up to go shopping with mommy & Gamma. Little did we know our plans were fixing to be quickly changed. However, we did get to go into Belk. She showed out pretty good in there. My nerves were shot by the time we left there. She was fine until I went to pick something up and look at it and hen she started screaming and hollering. I finally asked her if her daddy told her to do that very time I picked something up. I think he had a pep talk with her before we left....ha!
Her cute little "knock off wallabies"
Hanging out in the doctors office. If she only knew she was fixing to get a shot she wouldn't have been smiling. I bet if we have to go back tomorrow she wont be smiling.
Hanging out in her crib watching her mobile while mommy went through all her clothes to box up all of the newborn stuff.....I am so sad! She is getting so big so quick and I have no control over it!

Seriously....Is this ever going to end????

Raylee had a good day at school on Friday, sleeping most of the day and waking up to eat and going right back to sleep so I didn't call the dr because we thought she was getting better and it would be a wasted trip....well turns out I was wrong. Yeah folks I admit it.... I WAS WRONG!

After we picked her up from school we went down to Billy's parents for a visit. Things were good for about the first hour or so and then all hell broke loose. She cried and she screamed and she cried some more off and on for a couple of hours. Finally Billy got her to sleep and she slept until she got home. She ate again and from then on out she got up every 2 hours. Yeah....talk about a cranky mommy and daddy.

She woke up this morning smiling and cooing. Which by the way, we have no idea where she gets the happiness in the morning from, sure isn't me or Billy. I gave her all her medicines. She felt kind of warm so I took her temp. She didn't really have any (99.2) so I gave her some Tylenol just to be safe. About 30 min later i go to pick her up out of her swing to put her in her car seat and the back of her hair and clothes were sopping wet. Called the after hours clinic and got an appointment. Long story short....her ears are not any better after being on antibiotics. The doctor was VERY hesitant but ended up giving her a shot with strict instructions if she has another bad night tonight to come back tomorrow for another shot and they will decide then what to do with her. She said that the earliest she has ever known them to do tubes is 4 months but it would be Dr. Rogers call on what to do. So we will have to see. Tonight doesn't look to promising. She has cried and had to be held all night long. She has gone 5 1/2 hours w/o eating and woke up and only ate 2oz....not good.....not good

My niece, Morgan, who is 21 months old has to have surgery Friday for another set of tubes and her adenoids taken out. The way it is looking I am not going to be able to go to the wedding this weekend. I'm not going to leave Raylee if she is sick and if she is better I don't want to burden my sister with another child when one of hers is sick. We will have to see.

Eat, Sleep, Eat, Cry & Eat Again......

Yeah.....It was just a fluke. Raylee hasn't slept through the night since Sunday night. We are unsure if she is better. She has been sleeping a lot and when she is awake she is eating or screaming. She went from eating 4-5oz to 7-8oz at each feeding. If she keeps this up we are going to need to take out a loan to feed be able to afford to feed her. We have noticed that once her ear drops for pain and tylenol wear off she is a holy terror and screams like someone is murdering her. She has also reverted back to her old ways and is waking up twice in the middle of night to eat. I think she wants to be an only child.....

Now they understand.....

Sorry I didn't post much last week and this weekend. We didn't have the best week. Raylee started getting sick again Wednesday afternoon. We ended up taking her to the after hours clinic Thursday night and found out that she has another upper respiratory infection and thought that she may be getting the stomach virus that has been going around at daycare. Friday morning we decided that it would be better not to send her to daycare and Billy stayed home with her. Now he understands why some days when he came home from work while I was on maternity leave I was still in my gown and nothing had been done around the house. Around 10:00 he calls me at work to tell me that he basically had to hose the recliner out and change his clothes because she puked everywhere. I was surprised at how calm he was. At this point we realize that it is the stomach virus and start praying that we don't get it. I have to say that Billy was a trooper and made it through the day and never once complained.

OK....I'm gonna spare the details but I must say that I have heard of/seen projectile vomiting but have never heard/seen projectile diarrhea......and I may have made that term up but Friday night I was changing her diaper and checking her temperature rectally (yes I know now that was not the best choice given the state she was in) and lets just say I got a nice surprise and was shocked at this new experience. We had to clean the door off and shampoo the carpet. It went EVERYWHERE!!!! No notice at all!

To top it off it was my weekend to work, as if we didn't have enough going on. Since Billy was tied down with Raylee all day Friday Lindsey kept her while I worked on Saturday. She was so good, slept all day and didn't cry. Well lets just say she came alive about 6:30 Saturday night. Billy had planned on going to a bachelor party so I went to my parents and spent the night, there is no way I could have handled her on my own. I think my parents finally believe that the child does cry and I'm not telling tales on her. Several times I have taken her to my parents house for a few hours so I can get somethings done around the house without being interrupted. This last time my dad tells me....you can come see us any time, you don't have to blame it on that baby being bad and crying. Now they understand.....

Sunday wasn't much better. I dropped her off at Lindsey's house on the way to work so Billy could sleep in since he was out so late. She called me about 10:00 (what is it about her being sick and 10:00....I see a pattern developing) and said that she had been crying uncontrollably for 30 minutes. Billy ended up going to get her and we took her back to the doctor Sunday evening and her ears are infected AGAIN. Hopefully she didn't scare Lindsey to bad and she will still be willing to keep her next weekend when we go to the wedding.

On a positive note she did sleep all the way through the night last night! Hopefully this was not a fluke and we will see more of it, especially since I have to work 12 days straight! These are the few picks that we took this weekend.

Hopefully we will be able to take more pictures this week. Raylee is going to her 1st family reunion on Sunday and meet a lot of family that she hasn't met yet. I can't wait to show her off!

Daddy's All American Sweetie.....

I wanted to share a few pictures from today with yall. Billy is very proud of this outfit. It says Daddy's All American Sweetie. She is getting so big and looks just like Billy. For a while there she was starting to look like me but not any more. We took her for her 1st walk tonight in her stroller. We talked down the street and she loved it. She just sat in her stroller and looked around at everything. She hasn't acted like she felt good the last couple of days. I hope I'm just being paranoid and she's not getting sick.
She is getting so long. She's not our tiny baby any more!
She loves riding in her stroller!
She looks so small in there

We made it.........

Well, we made it through our first week. It was a BIG adjustment for both of us but we made it. Everyday that went by it a little easier. If I was the one that had to take her in the mornings it may be different but luckily Billy is the one that takes her and not me! My first week back at work went really well, Hopefully it will continue to go that way. We can already see a change in Raylee and how daycare is helping her. She is more content sitting by herself in her bouncer while I am doing other things. She doesn't have to have someone holding her or right by her side. She also has learned to self soothe. You can put her down to bed half asleep and she goes on to sleep. Here are some pictures from the end of the week and weekend.

That crazy red-headed chick has me again...help me....ha!

Oh no! It's her again....ha!

Finally Gamma has me! I'm safe!
Thursday night we decided to step out side of the box and try something a little different, even though it isn't recommended by drs. We tried cereal just to see if it would make her sleep any longer. I went over to my parents house so my mom could show me how to make it and to see if she would even eat it (I don't think I could make it if I didn't live so close to my parents!). She LOVED it! My mom could not feed it to her fast enough! She ended up sleeping 6 1/2hours!
Yum Yum!!!!!
I think all of her fun at school this week caught up with her Friday night. The pictures say it all........

Hanging out at Uncle Michael's & Aunt Lindsey's house Saturday night
Uncle Micheal & Aunt Lindsey watched her while me & Billy went to Sam's and out to eat Saturday night. While she was visiting they took her to the park for the 1st time. They captured some of their fun.....

Swinging at the park with Uncle Michael

There is always fun when Madison is around......

Visiting with Gamma, Grand-Bob and Mamaw Riser on Sunday afternoon
Sunday Auntie Adria came down to visit. We had a great time and can't wait to see her again!
Saturday night she slept in her bed for 5hrs while me and Billy watched a movie with Aunt Lindsey & Uncle Michael. I ended up waking her up at 1a.m. to eat and I put her in her bassinet in our room. Eventually I will start trying her at sleeping all night in her bed. There is to much other change going on right now to try that, however, she does take naps in there. Baby steps....Baby steps.....She loves her silky that her Uncle Bubba & Aunt Emily gave her. It was laying by her arm and she picked it up and cuddled it like that all on her own.
Now that we have conquered one hurtle we have another one coming up, leaving her over night. Not only are we going to be away from her over night but the whole weekend. Billy is in a wedding in Columbus, MS the first weekend in October. I'm trying to mentally prepare myself for this. I'm sure Friday morning will be awful knowing that when I leave for work that I wont see her again until Sunday. At least we are getting this all out of the way at once. Since we will be going through Starkville we will have to stop by the MSU Bookstore and get Raylee a few things. It is going to be so hard not to buy the whole store!
GO DAWGS!!!!!!
Hope everyone has a great week!

All Smilies :)

Raylee has been all smiles lately and no it isn't just gas! She is actually smiling at people when they talk to her. Last week she smiled at my mom and then laughed out loud real big. It was so funny.

Today when I went to pick her up from school she was in the middle of eating. I took over so her teacher could tend to the other babies and it took her about 5 mins to start eating bc she was looking up at me and smiling so big. She just kept smiling and smiling and smiling. She looked so happy to see me!

I posted a few pictures from tonight. After supper she was in such a good mood. I asked her if she had a good day at school today and she just smiled so big. I think she really likes daycare so far. Let's hope it stays that way!

It is hard to believe she will be 8 wks old on Friday. I am so glad that we can take her out now. Me & my mom are planning on taking her out to Dogwood on Saturday on a shopping trip. Sunday we are going to take her to church and come home and relax and watch movies. Hopefully she will cooperate.

Round/Day 2.....

Just wanted to let yall know that today was much easier! I am now working 7:00 to 4:00 so Billy takes her and I pick her up! When I called to check on her this morning her teacher said that she was having a much better day and even commented on how I sounded like I was having a much better day and how sorry she felt for me yesterday. I guess I made a lasting impression on her...ha! Yesterday all she wanted to do was be held and was fussy. When she got home she continued on that pattern and all I want to do is hold her but I know that I couldn't. It was so hard. Today she was much for content in her bouncer and even took several naps in her bed! This will be an adjustment for all of us!

After a busy day at school yesterday she came home and played with her new toy we bought her for being such a big girl and going to school
Look what A good job Daddy did dressing me this morning!
Daddy was so excited to get to carry her to school in "his car seat". Thanks Natalie for saving Abby's car seat for Daddy to use in his truck!

New faces....

Raylee had a busy weekend meeting new family and friends. I took her to Forest on Friday to meet and eat lunch with Billy's and his co-workers. Everyone was glad to see her! When we left there I took her up to my work to meet some of my co-workers. On the way home we stopped by my parents to check on my dad after his surgery. She was so tired that she sacked in my mom's lap. After sleeping in with daddy Saturday morning we took her to the nursing home to meet Billy's grandmother. Sadly she did not know who we were and therefore didnt understand that Raylee was her only great-grandchild. Here are some pictures....

I let Madison feed her while I ran in the next room for just a second to do something...
This is what I found when I came back in the room! Madison is such a "little mama"
Silly girl
Dazed and confused
Please get that thing out of my face!
